City life can make training overwhelming, constant noise, tight spaces, and endless distractions. By stepping away, your dog can reset, refocus, and learn in a calmer, more structured environment, leading to faster, more lasting results.
At Grateful Pups, training happens in a real home, not a facility, where your dog learns to navigate everyday situations like deliveries, guests, and downtime, building manners and obedience that truly translate to your life. Your dog will stay with us for a minimum of two weeks, training in this immersive setting at a fraction of typical city or tri-state pricing.
On the final weekend, you’ll join us in the Hudson Valley, staying in our private cozy cottage while working hands-on with your trainer. You’ll learn how to maintain your dog’s progress while experiencing training in action, whether that’s walking through a dog-friendly town, relaxing at a restaurant, or exploring the Catskills together.

This two-day experience is the perfect introduction to our training approach, designed for you and your dog.
Enjoy a stay in our private, dog-friendly cottage with your own fenced-in backyard, while getting up to 3 hours of dedicated time with your trainer. You’ll learn our approach, discuss your concerns and begin to understand your dog in a whole new way.Then spend the rest of your time exploring the Hudson Valley, walk through town, see live music, or simply enjoy a slower pace with your dog by your side.
It’s a chance to connect, learn, and experience real-world training in action, before diving into a full program.
*Dogs must be crate-trained, and owners to provide proof of vaccinations and clean fecal matter.

After your dog completes its training, you get a weekend in the historic town of Woodstock the opportunity to experience the beautiful Hudson Valley.
